Stovetop cinnamon apples are so much faster than baked, so you can have them ready in a snap. Bring your standard breakfast up a notch, or get a fun Sunday brunch together super-quick.
Heat a small pan to medium heat. Core and chop the apple. Add a small amount of water to the pan, and the apples. Let them heat until softened to your liking, about 10 minutes. Sprinkle with cinnamon, nutmeg, and sugar and toss to coat. If the sugar is sticking to the pan, add another small splash of water to release.
Remove the pan from the heat, and drizzle the apples with freshly squeezed lemon juice. Serve over oatmeal, toast, or non-dairy yogurt.

Notes
If you prefer to bake your apples, you could toss the chopped apple with the coconut sugar and cinnamon, and put in a small baking dish in an oven heated to 350F for about 20 minutes, or until softened to your liking.
