“I’m a brand new subscriber and just wanted to say thank you for your awesome videos. I love that there is an emphasis on nutrition and I am excited to try out many of the recipes. (I’ll be making the cilantro pesto wraps tonight!) After 26 years as a vegetarian, I just became vegan a few weeks ago and was a bit overwhelmed at first, wondering what in the world I’d be able to eat without starving or dying of boredom from salads. Having access to videos like yours makes this so much easier! So thank you, thank you. Keep up the awesome work!”
– Brooke, California

“3 weeks ago I stopped eating meat altogether as I educated myself more from information such as the works of Dr Max Gerson, Dr Essestyn and Dr Colin Campbell just to name a few. I have read many sites as you can imagine and none of them has been as easy to digest as your site. Your information has literally help me transform my health and help me with recipes to build a foundation of proper nutrition. Thank you for your marvelous help as you have truly indeed made a difference in my whole perception of nutritional balance. Keep up the great work and you are truly a hidden gem and I now tell all my friends to subscribe!”
– Mark

“Your recipes are so easy to follow and so delicious!!! Thank you very much for your excellent work! Your website really helped me to see vegan diet differently, I used to think vegans were quite extreme, but I realized that it’s just a healthy way of living. So thank you again for that.”
– Gaelle, Paris, France

“So far I’m just amazed at what eating no meat/dairy/animal products has done to my body and mind in so little time. It’s your devotion and dedication to vegan nutrition that really sparked my interest in it and you gave me enough confidence to actually make a change in my eating habits with quick and easy, yet nutritious and delicious recipes. Since then, I eat better, I feel better, I function better, I sleep better, I train harder and I enjoy food a whole lot more throughout my day. I went from uninformed and insecure to well equipped and thrilled about my new regimen. I’m probably not the only one nor the last one you will provide this life shift, but I wanted to stress how grateful I really am for your videos and your replies. On a last note, witnessing you share your passion is inspiring and for that reason alone your videos are gold to me. Thank you :)”
– Michaël, Gatineau QC, Canada

“A little more than two months ago, I started eating a vegan diet to cleanse myself, to lose weight, and to start putting into my body what I think is best for it. Since then, I have never felt better! Between the huge amount of dance I’m doing and being vegan, I have lost 10 pounds already, I feel 1000% better, and I have so much more energy. I really credit you with giving me the push I needed to get to where I am, and to where I am going! Subscribing to your channel was really the first big step for me in becoming informed, and inspiring me to do what I am doing now. For all of this, I want to send you my thanks.”

Yup, this is a 100% vegan meal plan. It’s not to discourage my meat-eating followers, but to be honest I don’t know how to cook chicken or eggs, and since I’m vegan I do things plants-only.

It’s also the best way to teach you about all of the amazing plant foods out there while supporting my vegan and vegetarian followers.

Vegans and vegetarians will find the recipes exactly tailored to your needs, and meat-eaters can treat it as an opportunity to learn about and have fun with some new plant foods.

Well, ‘weird’ is a bit subjective, but I keep the ingredient list as simple as possible, using vegetables, fruits, grains, nuts, seeds, and seasonings that you should be able to find at any major supermarket. There are a few things that might be tricky to find (like coconut oil, quinoa, nutritional yeast) but the good news is that those things are now really easy to find and order online. If you really can’t get hold of something, or it’s too expensive where you are (avocados where I am right now are $3 each!!!), just let me know and I’ll help you figure out an alternative.

I design recipes to be as easy as possible for people who aren’t used to cooking for themselves, or aren’t used to cooking whole plant foods. I put the recipes and meals together using as few packaged foods as possible, so you will be learning how to cook things from scratch, but you can totally do it.

Even the most beginner cooks have told me they weren’t overwhelmed, and actually enjoyed gaining confidence in their skills in the kitchen. There are even video demonstrations showing you exactly what to do so that you shouldn’t have any trouble with the recipes.

Who created the veganook recipe club?

Heather Nicholds, Registered Holistic Nutritionist

“You know what? I hate planning meals. I hate thinking too much about food, I just want to enjoy it. That’s why I spent time on education to become a nutritionist, to know how to get all the nutrients I need to be healthy.

And I hate meals that taste bland and boring. That’s why I spent years cooking meal after meal, and in cooking courses, to know how to make healthy foods taste amazing.

Now I know how to make healthy meals easily on a regular basis, without taking much time out of my day, and getting a variety of foods and amazing flavors.

Now that I’m in the habit, I find it saves me time and effort, plus I don’t waste any of the beautiful foods that used to wind up rotting at the back of the fridge.

It’s easier than I could have imagined to eat super healthy food all the time and it makes me feel better than I thought possible!

These veganook recipes are the culmination of all my education, trial and error, disasters, and successes. I want to make this effortless for you, without having to go through all that.”

5% of your registration goes to getting clean water to communities in need

Charity:Water. “When a community gets access to clean water, it can change just about everything. It can improve health, increase access to food, grow local economies, and help kids spend more time in school.”
They’ve funded 20,062 water projects in 24 countries so far. You and I can help.
Diseases from dirty water kill more people every year than all forms of violence, including war. 43% of those deaths are children under five years old. Access to clean water and basic sanitation can save around 16,000 lives every week.
Clean water helps keep kids in school, especially girls. In Africa alone, women spend 40 billion hours a year walking for water. Women are responsible for 72% of the water collected in Sub-Saharan Africa. When a community gets water, women and girls get their lives back. They start businesses, improve their homes, and take charge of their own futures.
